1900 Census lives in Kenton Hd with step father David R Rees
Granddaughter's letters to Steve Voshell states:
He was from Odessa, DE. After he graduated from the University of Delaware in 1910 with a degree in Electrical Engineering (and married Mary Chandler Gill of Middletown DE the same year), he moved first to Philadelphia, then to New Haven Conn. (where their only daughter Marie Arlene Voshell was born July 2, 1917), then they settled in Grand Rapids, Mich. in the 1920's where they remained until their deaths of all three of them in the 1960's.
Jill wonders why they moved away from DE considering the fact that Harvey was extremely close to his mother Virginia. Jill remembers the two visits for her great grandmother to her family in Grand Rapids.
Even though Harvey was blind the last 20 years of his life, (Harvey suffered from diabetes and was blind by 1946), he went to work every day (until about a week before his death in 1961) at the company he founded, a small welding supply company. He answered the phone at work and had the stock numbers of nearly every item on hand and its price in his head. He was quite a remarkable man.
