Please forgive me for not getting back to you sooner. I printed your e-mail letter and the chart. I tried to lighten the
chart several times but each time it came out dark. Thanks for the break down. It does help to decipher the chart.
I think I am in Group 9 from Maryland. I have very little to go on. Just have not had the time to really get into it at any
length. I guess I have more on my grandmothers side, and not that much on the Penningtons.
My father: Nelson Alexander Pennington
b. 20 Dec. 1916 in Park View, Wheeling, W. Va. When my father was a yr. old, sometime in 1917 the family
moved to Chesapeake City, Md. where A.H.G. managed a farm owned by a Nelson Price Whitaker. Mr. Whitaker is
said to have been a Vice Pres. of Wheeling Steel Corp. in Wheeling, W.Va.

Lodge taken about 1921 or 1922 near Bohemia Point, Cecil Co. Md

Elkton, Md. I did find a Ellen Louisa Rutter b. abt. 1841, Cecil Co. Md. whose father was William Wallis Rutter b. 5
Mar. 1808 d. 18 Oct. 1848 M. Sara Jane Pennington 9 May, 1832 Sara, b. abot 1818 Cecil Co., Md. d. 3 Jan 1892.
This info was taken off the L.D.S. internet site. but it would not give me a husband for Ellen Louisa Rutter. So I could
not hook her up to anything I have. The only tie was that her mother was a Pennington.

Ruth, I have nothing to really document all of this. I got a lot from my fathers sister-in-law and I think she got it all from
word of mouth from my fathers oldest sister, Elizabeth. I don't think she has any birth, marriage, or death certif. I
surely wish I did. I guess I need to go back to Elkton and spend a few weeks.
I am going to send this also to person on the PRA who may have family members who hook up. Will have to see.

any of the above hook up with any of your family. You said you had a grandmother - Lucy Virginia Pennington b. 1924
in Marian, Va. with siblings of Virgie, Sue, Ed, Charlie and Kenneth.
My father has siblings named Virginia and a brother named Kenneth. Maybe we are cousins and don't know it.

All I have is that Alexander Hamilton George Pennington had 3 brothers, one of which was named William Highland
Rutter Pennington. He had 3 sisters, Minnie, Sara and Amelia.
A.H.G. Penningtons mother was Louisa Rutter and I have been told his father was called Ole' John.
I know that the parents of Mary Tudor Lodge was Richard H. Lodge b. 13 Feb. 1846 in England d. 6 Aug. 1926 and is
buried in Elkton Cemetery, Elkton, Md. Lot # 120 He married Jane Hall b. 16 Feb. 1848 in Philadelphia, Pa. and is
buried in Elkton Cem. next to Richard H.
