Significant changes in land between first election and death: purchased 1000 acres in 1730 and may have owned 1100 acres by 1734; sold 668 acres 1731-1733; probably all of his land transaction were in CC, although the boundaries of some tracts may have extended into DE and PA. Will probated March 14 1738/39 CC personal property TEV 404.3.0 current money 9 including 3 slaves, 3 servants, 1 schooner, 1 old boat, 1 canoe, and 1 cidermill FB 36.14.10 :land ca 600-700 acres in CC.
Wood research from Elk Neck write in her letter to Charles Lilly 1980,"The Thomas mentioned in St Mary Ann's with wife Jane (she is a mystery Vital to my own research)died in 1739, his children: William, Edward, George, Daniel, and Rachel were still alive at the time. He had a son Thomas Jr who predeceased him in 1738. Thomas SR lived on the Susquehanna river at the time. I believe this Thomas had married Millicent Hyland, widow of John Hyland, in 1722. She died in 1726. The land was John Hyland's It was the only plantation belonging to either Johnsons or HYlands that was not on the Elk River. (at that time)."
