[12156] A pioneer in the motion picture theatre industry in Hanover , he had purchased the Center Square Movie House in 1907 (later the site became Columbia Jewelers). He was the second operator of a theatre in Hanover, and for a time was in partnership with C W Powman. At various times he was the manager of other theatres - the Star, the Strand (both located on Carlisle Street), the Hanover theatre on Baltimore Street, and the Park on West Chestnut Street. He was a member of the Masonic Patmos Lodge 348 and the family were members of the St Matthew's Lutheran Ch.
