[1601] Merchant of Middletown. Nephew of Samuel Penington, partnership in business, become the gardian of Samuel and John Augustine after Samuel's death in 1823.

Quaker Church records Duck Creek: 19 day 11 month 1822 Augustine H Penington witness marriage of Abraham Rasin and Patience McNowell.

1827/Jan 30 " Dissolution of Copartnership. The copartnership heretofore existing between Samuel Penington and Augustine H. Penington, trading under the firm of 'Samuel & A.. H. Penington', is this day dissolved. Persons having claims will present them to A.. H. Penington, and all persons indebted either on Bond, Note, or Book Account, will please call and pay the same to A. H. Penington who will settle the business of the late firm. A..H. Penington, surviving Partner for himself and as Guardian of Samuel Penington, minor and administrator of John A Penington, heirs of Samuel Penington, deceased. Middletown Del., Jan 12, 1827."
