[11583] He was a minister for nearly 50 years of the German Reformed Church of Christ of today; graduated from Ursinus College in 1920, Central Theological Seminary of the Reformed Church (in Dayton, Ohio) in 1923 and Princeton Theological Seminary in 1924; was widely read and noted for being proficient in five languages- German, French, Latin, Greek, and Hebrew; served 18 monthe in WWII attaining the rank of a 2nd lieutenant of Infantry; served his entire ministry at St Peter's Reformed Church charge (Later UCC) near Doylestown, Bucks Co PA;received and honorary Doctor of Divinity degree in 1950 from Ursinus College; retired in 1968 to live in Hanover PA and is buried at his home church.
