[11842] Blanche was an only child, and was a skilled organist and pianist and for many years often played at St Bartholomew's Church and Wentz's Metting House. She well remembers the time in her youth when a barn near St Bartholomew's caught fire at the time her father was sexton at the church, and she ran to the church and vigorously rang the bell to summon aid. Ira was employed for many years at the Winebrenner Canning Co near Hanover
