married a girl from Hanover, operated the Yoost family store for 38 years, and was a member of the Hanover Lodge - Loyal Order of the Moose and also the Hanover Fraternal Order of Eagles, and had two daughter who died young. Under a physician's care for some time before his death, he died suddenly on a Sunday morning at his home in Two Taverns.
Charles was the last of the Yoost family. It is said that he drank heavily in his last years - perhaps because he realized the family line ended with him.
