[12363] was from Washenheim in the Haardt, a small town about 10 miles west of Manheim in the Palatinate, Germany. There in Jan of 1713 he had married. They came to America on Oct 16 1721 and for a time lived near Philadelphia where he farmed and also was a tailor, and their family consisted of 6 children, four born in Germany and two in this country. About 1731-1734 the family moved to what is now Hanover. Here he continued his trades, and later had an inn. In 1748 he refused an intoxicated Indian additional drink, and the enraged redskin shot Adam in the Chest with his rifle. He never completely recovered from the wound, and died early in 1752. His wife survived him as on July 20 1753 she filed an appraisal of his estate which was valued at 1021 pounds 13 shillings and 9 pence.
